What will we do in heaven?
The Nature of Heaven
Heaven is a place of great joy, peace, and fulfillment. In heaven, we will worship God and enjoy His presence forever. The Bible describes heaven as a place of eternal life, where there is no more pain, suffering, or death (Revelation 21:4). We will live in the presence of God, who will wipe every tear from our eyes and will make everything new (Revelation 21:5). Heaven is also a place of great beauty and wonder, where we will see the glory of God and the beauty of His creation.
Our Life in Heaven: Rest, Worship, and Service
In heaven, we will have the opportunity to rest from our labors and worship God without distraction or interruption. We will be free from the burdens and cares of this life, and will be able to focus on enjoying the presence of God. We will also have the opportunity to serve God and others in new and wonderful ways, using our gifts and talents to bring glory to Him. The Bible describes heaven as a place where we will be like angels, serving and worshiping God without sin or shame (Luke 20:36).
The Final State of the Wicked
Unfortunately, not everyone will experience the joy and fulfillment of heaven. The Bible teaches that those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior will be punished eternally in a place called hell (Matthew 25:46). This is a place of great sorrow and suffering, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:50). The Bible warns us to avoid this fate by turning to Jesus Christ and accepting His gift of salvation. If we do, we can look forward to the joy and fulfillment of heaven, where we will worship God and enjoy His presence forever. We will be like him, and he will be like us (1 John 3:2). Our life in heaven will be one of rest, worship, and service, where we will be free from sin and shame, and will be able to enjoy the presence of God forever.
