If you're a Christian and you're considering whether or not to drink alcoholic beverages, the question is not whether it will hurt or destroy others, but whether it will be a stumbling block to them. This is an important distinction. Just because something is not inherently wrong does not mean that it is always right. In 1 Corinthians 8, the Apostle Paul discusses the issue of food sacrificed to idols. He says that eating food sacrificed to idols is not wrong, but that if it causes a brother or sister to stumble, then it is wrong. Similarly, if your drinking will cause others to stumble, then it is wrong. But if your drinking will not cause others to stumble, then it is not wrong.

The Bible teaches that we should not do anything that will cause others to stumble. In Romans 14:13, it says, "Let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother." This is not a law that we must follow, but rather a principle that we should live by. We should be considerate of others and avoid doing anything that will cause them to stumble. This includes not drinking if it will cause others to stumble.

It's also worth noting that the Bible teaches that we should not use our freedom in Christ as an excuse to sin. In 1 Corinthians 6:12, it says, "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything." Just because we have the freedom to do something does not mean that we should do it. We should use our freedom in Christ to serve others and to glorify God, not to sin or to cause others to stumble. So, if you're considering whether or not to drink, ask yourself whether it will cause others to stumble. If it will, then it's best to refrain from drinking. But if it won't, then it's not wrong. Ultimately, the decision is up to you, but you should always consider how your actions will affect others.
