Is Social Drinking Okay for Christians?

The Bible does not explicitly forbid drinking alcoholic beverages, but it does warn against the dangers of excessive drinking. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Paul lists those who will not inherit the kingdom of God, including drunkards, but this does not necessarily mean that drinking is inherently sinful. Rather, it is the excessive or reckless drinking that is condemned.
