Biblical Answer

To avoid going to hell, we must first understand that hell is a real place, a place of conscious separation from God and spiritual torment (Luke 16:19-31). It is a place where those who have rejected Jesus Christ will go instantaneously (Matthew 25:46). However, God's desire is not to condemn anyone, but to save everyone (1 Timothy 2:3-4). He has provided a way for us to escape the damnation of hell through faith in Jesus Christ. This is the good news that we should always proclaim (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

To escape the damnation of hell, we must first receive God's love and forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ. This is the first step in avoiding hell, and it is not a ticket out of hell that we can buy, but a true act of contrition and repentance (Matthew 4:17). When we receive God's love and forgiveness, we are delivered from sin and begin to live a life that reflects God's will (Romans 6:1-23). We must also persist in resisting the devil's lies by speaking God's truth and praying for God's love to penetrate our hearts (James 4:7-8).

To maintain our freedom from sin and avoid going to hell, we must continually confess and repent of our sins and ask for God's forgiveness (1 John 1:9). We must also focus on living a life that reflects God's will, and not on the temptations of sin (Hebrews 12:1-2). By doing so, we will be able to avoid the door marked Temptation and walk through the door marked Invitation, which is the door of Christ (Hebrews 12:1-2). This is the path to true freedom and avoiding the damnation of hell.
