Biblical Answer

The concept of hell is often misunderstood, and many people believe that good people will not go to hell. However, this is not necessarily true. According to the Bible, heaven and hell are not determined by our good deeds or moral character, but by our relationship with God. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and that our good deeds are like filthy rags in the sight of God (Isaiah 64:6). This means that even the most well-intentioned and morally upright person is still separated from God and in need of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible also teaches that hell is not a place for "bad" people, but rather a place for those who have rejected God and His offer of salvation. Jesus taught that the gate to heaven is narrow, and few will find it (Matthew 7:13-14). This means that even those who have lived a relatively good life may still be separated from God and headed for hell if they have not put their faith in Jesus Christ. On the other hand, those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior, regardless of their past mistakes or failures, will be welcomed into heaven.

Ultimately, the question of whether good people can go to hell is not a matter of moral character or good deeds, but rather a matter of faith and relationship with God. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and in need of salvation, and that hell is a place of eternal separation from God. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved from hell and welcomed into heaven. As C.S.
