Your Question:

Where is God when I need Him most?

Answer:

As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with the question of where God is when they need Him most. But the truth is, God is not a physical presence that can be localized to a specific place. He is omnipresent, filling all and being in all. The distance we feel from God is not a physical one, but a moral one, caused by sin. However, this distance can be bridged by faith in Jesus Christ and the sacrifice of the cross.

It's interesting to note that God seeks us, not the other way around. He wants to speak to us, guide us, and counsel us. His aim is to bring us back to His heart, and He takes us where we are, with no prerequisites of perfection. He takes note of our feeble steps towards Him and infuses our souls with spiritual passion. As we seek Him, we come to realize that our children are watching, and it's our responsibility to model a passionate, entrusting reliance on God.

In the midst of crisis, it's easy to feel like God is absent, like a thirsty person in a land with no water. But even in those moments, God is still present, seeking us and guiding us. As Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you" (Matthew 7:7). We don't need to be in a specific place or situation to experience God's presence. He is available to us wherever we may be, and it's our responsibility to seek Him and give Him away in order to have Him.
