My friend, I can see that you're going through a tough time, and everything feels like it's falling apart. As a pastor, I've seen many people face similar struggles, and I'd like to share with you a powerful way to stay strong. It's found in the Bible, in Galatians 5:1, where it says, "For freedom Christ has set us free." But, we can also fall into a yoke of bondage if we're not careful. The best way to stand strong is to put on the whole armor of God. I pray this for myself, my wife Susan, and our children, Joshua and Rebecca, and it's been most effective for us.
To put on the whole armor of God, we need to start by identifying any sin in our lives and confessing it. This is where we often give place for sin to become entrenched, and it's essential to break free from it. We also need to call upon God in times of trouble, as Psalm 50:15 says, "And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." When we're weak, discouraged, or facing a crisis, our sole confidence should be in Christ. He will not abandon His own, and we're kept by the power of faith, which is a gift from God.
When we face a crisis, it's essential to remember that God will give us strength for the moment, not for tomorrow or the next hour. We need to take the first step, and then God will give us nourishment to overcome. We should also examine ourselves, not by our results, but by God's standard. If we find any problems in our approach or motives, we should confess them to God and change what needs to be changed. By applying these principles, we can face our failures and come away stronger, knowing that God's standard for us is not by our achievements, but by our faith in Him.
