The Challenge of Choosing between Health and Family Needs

When faced with a choice between our own health and our family's needs, we are often torn between two competing values. On one hand, we have a responsibility to care for our own health, as it is essential for us to live a life of purpose and service to others. As the Bible teaches, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
