Making Peace with Your New Reality

When we face new realities in life, it can be challenging to make peace with them. Our initial reactions may be to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about the future. However, as we reflect on our situation and seek to understand God's perspective, we can find peace and fulfillment. The key is to look up and receive the quiet contentment of the Lord Jesus. Reflecting His peace is proof that we are right with God, as it demonstrates our freedom to turn our minds to Him.

To make peace with our new reality, we need to set our hearts on what God wants, and think His thoughts. This involves being spiritually real, not just intellectually aware of God's presence. We must be willing to lay down our arms, beg forgiveness, and surrender our will to God. As we do this, we begin to experience peace and fulfillment. The world may not make sense apart from God, but with Him, everything becomes clear. We can start winning the battle of our mind by renewing it to the truth, setting our minds on that truth, and reminding ourselves often. This allows God to set us free from our fears, expectations, and sense of what might happen in the coming day.

In order to make peace with our new reality, we need to look to God, not to people or things. We must build our hope on Him and push aside the things that press in on us. Salvation is ours the moment we look to God. We are made in His image, and that reality should bring us joy and confidence, not a sense of inadequacy. As we stand back from our natural hissing and fretting, we can come into the quiet and find peace. We must keep fighting for what is right, even when we're not successful, and meditate on God's word day and night, so that we can do according to all that is written in it. This will lead us to a prosperous and successful life. By surrendering our will to God and seeking His peace, we can make peace with our new reality and find fulfillment in Him.
