Biblical Answer

When you feel like you're losing everything, it can be overwhelming and debilitating. It's common to feel like it's all your fault, and that you've let everyone down. However, the Bible teaches us that our hopelessness is sin, and that we must seek the Lord for help. This is not a one-time event, but a ongoing process. We must continually seek the Lord, even when we don't feel like it. As Psalm 130 says, "Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy." We must be willing to listen and seek the Lord's guidance, even when we feel like giving up.

The Bible also teaches us that we are not alone in our struggles. We are not alone in our feelings of hopelessness and despair. Jesus is with us, and He wants to help us. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Jesus is offering us rest, comfort, and peace. We don't have to go through this alone. We can turn to Him, and He will be with us.

So, what can we do when we feel like we're losing everything? First, we must seek the Lord. We must be willing to listen and seek His guidance. We must be willing to take small steps to engage in the struggle. We must be willing to read Scripture, such as Job 38:42, and ask the hard questions. We must be willing to seek counsel from others, such as a pastor, physician, or local Al Anon group. And most importantly, we must be willing to trust in Jesus, and His promises. As Psalm 130 says, "If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be revered." We can trust in Jesus, and His forgiveness. We can trust that He will help us through this difficult time, and that He will be with us every step of the way.
