The Door of Opportunity

When every door is slammed shut, it can be tempting to feel defeated and hopeless. However, Jesus teaches us to approach life with a different mindset. Jesus teaches us to shut the door of our hearts and minds to the world's temptations and distractions. In Matthew 6:6, He says, "But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private." This verse is not just about prayer, but about creating a secret stillness before God. By shutting our door, we can create a space for God to work in our lives and give us the strength to keep going, even when every door is slammed shut.

The Narrow Door

The narrow door that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 7:13-14 is not just a physical door, but a spiritual one. It represents the narrow path that leads to eternal life (Matthew 7:14). When we try to enter through this door, we must be willing to make the necessary changes in our lives. We must be willing to surrender our will to God and follow Him.
