We have a God who knows all our heartache and all our pain, and He's always with us. In fact, pain can be a place of special intimacy with God. When we're hurting, we're more likely to turn to Him for comfort and guidance. And when we do, we're reminded that our true purpose is to love God and love others. It's not about being shielded from our pain or avoiding our brokenness, but about facing it head-on and seeking outside assistance and turning to God in repentance and faith. That's the power of Christianity, and that's what I try to teach my congregation at our church.
