Is God Still with Me?

The question of whether God is still with us can be a daunting and overwhelming one, especially when faced with challenges and difficulties in life. However, the Bible reminds us that God is always present and active in our lives, even when we feel alone or abandoned. In Deuteronomy 31:6, God promises to be with His people, saying, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." This promise is echoed in Isaiah 41:10, where God says, "Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God." These verses remind us that God's presence is not dependent on our feelings or circumstances, but rather on His sovereign and unchanging nature.

In times of trouble, it's easy to wonder if God has abandoned us. However, the Bible teaches us that God is particularly interested in those who have been sinned against, neglected, or abandoned. He has a purpose in our lives and is actively working to bring about good even in the midst of difficulties. As the apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 4:16-17, "Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." This verse reminds us that our troubles are not a sign of God's absence, but rather an opportunity for Him to work in our lives and bring about His purposes.

So, is God still with me? The answer is yes, regardless of my circumstances or feelings. God is always present and active in my life, working to bring about good and redemption. When I feel alone or abandoned, I can trust that God is working behind the scenes to bring about His purposes. As the psalmist writes in Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me." This verse reminds us that God is always with us, even in the darkest of times, and that His presence is a source of comfort and strength. I can trust that God is with me, and that He will see me through even the most difficult of times.
