Can we prioritize our values in times of crisis? Absolutely, we can. In fact, it is during times of crisis that our values are often put to the test. As the Scripture says, "Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it" (Malachi 3:10). This verse reminds us that God is a God of abundance, and that He is willing to bless us when we prioritize our values and trust in Him.

In times of crisis, it is easy to become overwhelmed and lose sight of what is truly important. However, it is precisely in these moments that we must dig deeper and prioritize our values. As the business consultant Stephen Covey once said, "We achieve inner peace when our schedule aligns with our values." This means that we must take the time to reflect on what is truly important to us, and make decisions that align with those values. This may require us to make difficult choices, but it is only by prioritizing our values that we can truly find peace and contentment.

Prioritizing our values in times of crisis is not just about making individual decisions, but also about living a life that reflects our values. As the Apostle Paul wrote, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will" (Romans 12:2). This means that we must be intentional about living a life that reflects our values, and not just going through the motions. By prioritizing our values and living a life that reflects them, we can find true peace and contentment, even in the midst of crisis.
