Biblical Answer

God is indeed present in our pain. He is not absent or distant, but rather, He is holding us in our heartbreak, fear, and suffering. He weeps with us when we weep and knows the end of the story, when He will one day wipe every tear from our eyes (Revelation 21:4). This is evident in the Bible, where many of the Psalms contain cries to God in times of pain and suffering, yet He remains present and close to those who cry out to Him. The example of Jesus Christ, who suffered and died for our sins, also demonstrates God's presence in our pain. He is not aloof or distant, but rather, He is the One Who suffered for us so that we could live.

The idea that God is not present in our pain because He is not making us jump through unnecessary hoops is a misconception. God is not on a divine ego trip, but rather, He is the One Who suffered for us so that we could live. He is not asking us to believe in Him because of a desire for self-aggrandizement, but rather, because He wants a personal relationship with us. The pain we experience is not a punishment from God, but rather, it is an opportunity for Him to reveal His truth to us and to bring us closer to Himself. As the Bible says, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Psalm 22:1), yet even in the midst of this cry, God is present and holding us.

The idea that God is not present in our pain because we feel isolated and alone is also a misconception. While it is true that we may feel isolated and alone in our suffering, this does not mean that God is not present. In fact, it is often in our darkest moments that God is most present and working in our lives. As the Bible says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5), and "I will be with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). Therefore, we can trust that God is present in our pain and is working to bring us closer to Himself, even in the midst of our suffering.
