Your Question:

Is this really the end of my world?

Answer:

My friend, I've read these words and I must say, they're quite thought-provoking. The idea that the end of the world could be near, and that Christ's return will bring about a new era of righteousness, is a comforting one. As a pastor, I've often spoken about the hope of eternal life and the promise of a new heaven and a new earth. But, I must caution, the Bible also teaches us that the time of Christ's return is a mystery, known only to God.

I've seen many people get caught up in the idea of the end times, and while it's true that the Bible speaks of a final judgment and a new creation, I don't think it's about a cosmic catastrophe or a disaster. Rather, it's about the redemption of all things, including the earth itself. As Paul writes in Romans 8, the present creation will be set free from destruction and decay, and will be more truly itself when God is all in all.

So, is this really the end of the world? I don't think so. At least, not in the sense that we often think of it. The Bible promises us a new beginning, a new creation, and a new heaven and a new earth. And while we may face many challenges and difficulties in this life, we are not to be consumed by fear or anxiety. Instead, we are to live in hope, knowing that Christ's return will bring about a new era of peace, love, and joy.
