I can understand why you might feel that way. It's as if the weight of the world is crushing you, and you're wondering why you can't just escape it all. But, as I've come to realize, there's so much more to life than just our individual struggles. There are people who care about us, who have invested their time and energy into our well-being. My wife Susan, for instance, has been a constant source of support and comfort in my life. And then there's my family, my son Joshua and daughter Rebecca - they bring me joy and purpose.

You may think that no one would notice if you were gone, but the truth is, every life has a ripple effect. When someone takes their own life, it leaves a trail of pain and grief behind. I've seen it happen to people in my community, and it's a tragedy that no one should have to endure. As a pastor, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people through their darkest moments, and I can tell you that there's always hope, no matter how small it may seem. And for me, personally, I believe that God's love and presence in my life give me the strength to carry on, even when things seem impossible.

You're right that life is short, and death is inevitable. But that doesn't mean we should give up. In fact, it's precisely because of our mortality that we should make the most of every moment. As the Bible says, "with God nothing will be impossible" (Lk 1:37). I believe that, and I know that God has a plan for each of us, a plan that's full of purpose and meaning. It's not about solving impossible problems or achieving some grand goal; it's about being faithful with what's right in front of us, and trusting that God will guide us every step of the way.
