Can I still trust myself to make the right decisions?

Trust is a fundamental aspect of our lives, and it's essential to consider what we trust and why. If we trust in people, our lives will be devoted to meeting their expectations. If we trust in money, we'll worry when we can't get it. This isn't to say that wanting respect, love, and other things we value is wrong; it's just that these things can't be the foundation of our trust. We need a more stable and reliable source of trust.

The Bible teaches us that trusting in the flesh, or our own abilities, is not reliable. In fact, it can lead to a life of slavery to our own desires and expectations. Instead, we're called to trust in God and His sovereignty over our lives. This doesn't mean we stop trying or making decisions; rather, it means we seek to do all that God says and trust Him to guide us. When we trust in God, we're not trying to figure everything out on our own; we're relying on His perfect wisdom and love to direct our paths.

So, can we still trust ourselves to make the right decisions? The answer is no. When we trust in ourselves or our own abilities, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment and failure. But when we trust in God, we can make decisions with confidence, knowing that He's guiding us and working everything out for our good. This doesn't mean we'll never make mistakes; it means we'll be able to face them with courage and faith, knowing that God is with us and will help us navigate even the toughest challenges. As the Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). By trusting in God, we can learn to trust ourselves and our decisions, not because we're relying on our own abilities, but because we're confident in God's guidance and love.
