How do I live with this new reality?

Embracing the New Reality

Living with this new reality requires a willingness to let go of our natural tendencies and habits that shape our fears, expectations, and sense of what might happen in the coming day. We need to be intentional about setting our hearts on what God wants, rather than being formed by the world around us. This involves standing back from our natural hissing and fretting, and coming in out of the wind. It's a choice to let ourselves be formed into a certain kind of person, and it's possible that we can only do it for moments at first, but from those moments, the new sort of life will begin to spread through us.

Looking to Jesus

The key to living with this new reality is to look to Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). When we focus on Him and His desire for us, we begin to see the world in a new light. We start to understand that our lives are not about what we do, but about who we become. We can develop dynamic faith to trust in Him, even when things seem uncertain or overwhelming. This means being willing to let go of our own efforts and trust in His sovereignty over our lives. As we look to Him, we can begin to see the world as He sees it, and we can start to build our hope on Him.

Choosing a New Path

We are standing at a crossroads, and we have a choice to make. We can continue down the path of the world, or we can choose to follow Jesus. This choice is not about what we do, but about who we become. When we choose to follow Jesus, we begin to see the world in a new light, and we start to live a life that reflects His character. We can start to build community, focus on character, and trust in His sovereignty over our lives. This is not about being original or trying to tell the truth, but about being willing to let go of ourselves and follow Him. When we do, we can experience a radical transformation in our lives, and we can start to live a life that is truly fulfilling.
