Why Does God Allow Good People to Suffer?

When faced with the question of why God allows good people to suffer, it's essential to understand that suffering is not always a result of God's absence or lack of love. Rather, it's often a means by which God works grace into the lives of his people. If God were to immediately reward us for our good deeds, we would be destroyed by our inherent depravity, becoming users of God, as Satan alleged of Job (Job 1:8-10). In the face of suffering, it's essential to turn to God and trust in his sovereignty. We may not have all the answers, but we can trust that God is working all things together for our good. This is a message of hope and comfort in the midst of suffering, reminding us that God is always working, even when we can't see it.
