Jesus did experience sadness. The Bible tells us that Jesus wept when he saw the city of Jerusalem and wept over it, saying, If you had known, even you, in this your day, the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes (Luke 19:41-42). He also wept at the tomb of Lazarus, saying, Where have you laid him? Jesus wept (John 11:35). These are examples of Jesus experiencing sadness or sorrow.

The Bible also describes Jesus experiencing other emotions such as anger, grief, and compassion. For example, Jesus was angry at death and at the abnormality of the world when he stood in front of the tomb of Lazarus (John 11:33). He was also grieved and sorrowful to the point of death when he realized the suffering he would face during his crucifixion (Matt. 26:38). Furthermore, Jesus was moved with compassion for suffering people and took their agony upon himself (Isa. 53:3). This compassion went beyond sympathy, and Jesus did not just feel sorry for people in their weakness and pain but took that agony on himself.

Jesus experienced a range of emotions, including sadness, anger, grief, and compassion. These emotions were not just a human response but also a demonstration of his divine nature. As the Son of God, Jesus was capable of experiencing the full gamut of human emotions, which is why he was able to redeem all of human nature. His emotions were not just a sign of weakness but a demonstration of his love and compassion for humanity.
