Your Question:
why did god let me get into a fight with my sibling?
Answer:
As a pastor and a father, I've seen my fair share of conflicts between siblings. And I've learned that it's not uncommon for children to get into fights with each other. But why does God allow this to happen? I believe it's because He wants us to learn how to resolve conflicts in a God-honoring way. As the Bible says in Matthew 18:15, we're supposed to go to our brother with problems and talk to him, not just run to our parents with every little issue. As a parent, it's our job to teach our children how to work things out with each other. We can't always be their referee, and if we are, they'll never learn how to resolve conflicts on their own. I remember when my son Joshua was younger, he would get into fights with his sister Rebecca all the time. But instead of just intervening, I would sit them down and talk to them about how to resolve their conflicts in a loving way. And you know what? It worked! They learned how to work things out and even became closer because of it. So, why did God let you get into a fight with your sibling? It's because He wants to teach you how to resolve conflicts in a God-honoring way. It's not about being perfect or never getting into fights, it's about learning how to work things out with others and being willing to forgive and be reconciled. As the Bible says in Matthew 5:23-24, "Leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." God wants us to prioritize our relationships with others and be willing to work through conflicts in a loving way.
