Can God forgive abortion?

Using the biblical evidence, we can understand that God's character is one of justice and holiness. However, this does not mean that God is indifferent to the issue of abortion. In fact, the Bible teaches that God hates abortion and that it is a clear sign of a culture of death. The Bible does not directly address the issue of abortion, but it does teach that unborn human beings bear the image of God from conception onward.

This raises the question of whether God can forgive abortion. The Bible teaches that God is a God of forgiveness, but this forgiveness comes with a condition: repentance. If someone commits an abortion and truly repents, God will forgive that person. However, if someone refuses to admit wrong and refuses to repent, God must apply judgment, and his judgment is severe. This is not to say that God is cruel or heartless, but rather that he is a God of justice and holiness who will not let sin go unpunished.

In the case of abortion, the Bible teaches that it is a grave sin that bears the image of God. While God can forgive, he will not forgive so long as the guilty refuse to repent. Personal repentance is absolutely necessary for forgiveness to take place. This means that those who have committed an abortion must acknowledge their sin, turn from it, and seek forgiveness from God. Only then can God forgive and restore them to a right relationship with him. This is not a simplistic or easy answer, but rather a reflection of God's character as a God of justice, holiness, and forgiveness.
