Praying for Provision

The Bible teaches us that God is our provider and that He cares for our needs. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." This verse reminds us that when we put God first in our lives, He will provide for our needs. We can pray for provision, but we must also trust in God's sovereignty and goodness. As we pray, we can say something like, "Dear God, I trust in Your goodness and provision. Help us to be faithful stewards of what You have given us, and provide for our needs in a way that honors You."

Creating a Mission Statement

Creating a mission statement can be a helpful way to focus on our priorities and goals. A mission statement is a statement that summarizes our values and goals as a family. We can write a mission statement together as a family and review it regularly to make sure we are living up to it. Our mission statement might say something like, "As a family, we strive to love and serve God, to love and care for each other, and to make a positive impact in our community." This statement reminds us that our family is not just about ourselves, but about serving others and honoring God.

Prioritizing Our Resources

As we prioritize our resources, we can ask ourselves questions like, "What are our values and priorities as a family?" and "How can we use our resources to live out our values and priorities?" We might decide to give away one thing we like in order to give to others, or we might create care packages for homeless families. We can also ask ourselves, "What is our duty to our family and to God?" and "How can we be faithful stewards of what God has given us?" By prioritizing our resources and living out our values and priorities, we can create a family culture that is focused on serving others and honoring God. As we do this, we can trust that God will provide for our needs and bless our family in ways we never thought possible.
