Biblical Answer

As I reflect on how to come to terms with a new reality, I'm reminded of a phrase that's become a cornerstone of my faith: "Come to Me." It's a simple yet profound invitation to surrender to the truth, to let go of our preconceptions and biases, and to allow ourselves to be shaped by the presence of God. When we're faced with a new reality, it's easy to get caught up in disputing the findings or trying to construct our own epistemological systems to explain it away. But the truth is, we can know reality, and it's not a matter of constructing a bridge to it, but rather of acknowledging that we're already standing on it.

As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle to come to terms with their new reality, whether it's a change in their life circumstances or a shift in their understanding of themselves or the world around them. But I've also seen the transformative power of surrendering to the truth, of letting go of our old ways of thinking and being, and of embracing a new perspective. It's not always easy, of course – it takes courage and humility to confront our own sin and to ask for help. But when we do, we open ourselves up to the possibility of growth, healing, and transformation.

For me, this process of coming to terms with a new reality has been a lifelong journey. As a husband, father, and pastor, I've had to navigate many changes and challenges, and I've learned that the key to navigating them is to stay rooted in my faith, to rely on the Holy Spirit, and to trust in the certainty of God's redemptive power. When we're rooted in reality, nothing can shake us – not even the most unexpected twists and turns in life. And that's a truth that I've come to know and cherish, not just intellectually, but deeply in my heart.
