God cares about money because it is a spiritual barometer, an idolatry-meter. Our attitude toward money reveals our true character and priorities. Jesus taught extensively on the topic of money, possessions, greed, contentment, and generosity because He knew that our relationship with money is a reflection of our relationship with Him. When we prioritize material wealth over spiritual wealth, we demonstrate a lack of trust in God's provision and a failure to understand His sovereignty over all things.

When we use money in the wrong way, we show ourselves unfit to handle more important things. This is why God is concerned with our financial decisions and how we manage our resources. He wants us to understand that our money is not our own, but rather a tool to be used for His glory.
