Your Question:

Why does God let us struggle so much?

Answer:

The question of why God lets us struggle so much is one that has puzzled many of us, including myself. As a pastor, I've seen many people grapple with this issue, and it's a topic that I've had to wrestle with myself. The truth is, God doesn't let us struggle for no reason. He lets us struggle so that we can learn to cling to Him more closely, and to trust in His power and provision.

In the Bible, we see that even Jesus, who was without sin, learned obedience through what He suffered. He was made perfect through suffering, and we see that God uses hardship and suffering to strengthen us, so that we may gain greater ability to trust God and resist sin. This is why it's so important to see all the hardship and suffering that comes to us in life as something that God brings to us, not just to test us, but to refine us and make us more like Jesus.

As I reflect on this, I'm reminded of the story of Job, who suffered greatly, but never lost his faith. He said, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." (Job 1:21) This is the kind of trust that God desires from us, even in the midst of struggle and hardship. It's not that God causes our struggles, but He uses them to teach us to rely on Him, and to trust in His goodness and sovereignty.
