Raising Children Who Possess a Real Faith

As parents, we have a responsibility to teach and train our children to live out their faith in the midst of societal pressure. This involves modeling the service of God, teaching them the Word of God, and praying for their faith to grow. We want our children to possess a real faith, not just a professed one, and to develop a godly character that will guide them in making decisions. Teaching Children to Fear the Lord

To help our children develop a real faith, we need to teach them to fear the Lord. This involves showing them the importance of respecting others, obeying authority, and making decisions based on biblical principles. We should also teach them how to exercise their willful determination to stick with what they believe, even when faced with opposition or peer pressure. By doing so, we can help them develop the courage to stand up for their faith and not be swayed by the opinions of others. Praying for Our Children's Faith

Finally, we need to pray for our children's faith to grow. We can teach them the Word of God, but it's ultimately up to God to plant faith in their hearts. By praying for their faith to grow, we can ask God to give them a deeper understanding of His Word and to guide them in making decisions that align with their faith. As parents, we can't do it alone, but with God's help, we can raise children who possess a real faith and live out their faith in the midst of societal pressure. As the Bible says, "Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17).
