The Illusion of Financial Security

The question of why we lose our life savings is a complex one, but at its core, it is a reflection of our desire for financial security. We believe that if we can just accumulate enough wealth, we will be free from the worries of the world. However, as the Bible teaches, this is an illusion. Jesus said, "Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it" (Mark 8:35). The Bible also teaches us that true security comes from God, not from our possessions. In Deuteronomy 31:6, God says, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." As the Bible says, "You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God" (2 Corinthians 9:11).
