This can be seen in the story of the Israelites in Leviticus 27:30-32, where they are instructed to tithe their crops and livestock, giving a portion of the increase to God. Similarly, in Deuteronomy 14:22-29, the Israelites are instructed to tithe their crops and firstlings of their herds, again giving a portion of the increase to God. So, when it comes to tithing, the focus is on giving a portion of one's increase, rather than a specific percentage of one's income.

The question of whether one can tithe their time instead of money is a valid one. While the biblical concept of tithing is primarily about giving a portion of one's increase, it is not limited to just money. In terms of tithing one's time, this can take many forms. For example, one might tithe their time by volunteering at a local church or non-profit organization, or by serving in a ministry or outreach program. One might also tithe their time by giving back to God through prayer and worship, or by using their talents and skills to serve others. Ultimately, the key is to find ways to give back to God a portion of one's time and increase, whether that is in the form of money, time, or talents. By doing so, one can cultivate a spirit of gratitude and generosity, and live a life that is pleasing to God.
