Why did God allow me to lose my business?

This question can be reframed to "Why did God allow me to be in the wrong place at the wrong time for the wrong reason?" Sometimes, losing a business can be an indication that we are not where we are supposed to be. It may be a sign that God is trying to get our attention, to make us think about our relationship with Him. When we experience losses, we can face a choice: we can respond with anger and resentment, or we can seek to understand God's perspective.

The Bible teaches us that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). God's plan for our lives is often different from our own plans, and it is not always easy to understand why He allows us to experience certain circumstances. However, as we seek to understand God's perspective, we can begin to see that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). This means that even in the midst of loss, God is still working to accomplish His purposes in our lives.

Rather than asking "Why did God allow me to lose my business?", we can ask "What is God trying to teach me through this experience?" or "How can I grow in my faith as a result of this loss?" By shifting our focus to God's purposes and plans, we can begin to see that even in the midst of loss, God is still working to accomplish His good and perfect will in our lives. As the Psalmist writes, "The Lord makes even the darkness work for the good of those who love him" (Psalm 34:19).
