Accepting Your New Reality: A Biblical Perspective

As a follower of Jesus Christ, accepting your new reality is not about adopting a fresh perspective, but rather about surrendering to God's sovereignty and will. It's about acknowledging that your reality is shaped by your beliefs, expectations, and fears, and that these can be limiting and isolating. Instead of trying to change your reality or prove its accuracy, you can learn to accept it by faith, trusting that God is working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28). This means embracing your difficulties and working through them by following God's principles, rather than turning your back on Him.

The problem of accepting your new reality is often linked to the issue of spiritual stagnation. When we become complacent in our beliefs and experiences, we can fall into ruts and lose sight of God's call on our lives. However, by seeking to know God's will and principles, and by striving to express the truth of God clearly and understandably, we can break free from spiritual stagnation and experience spiritual growth. This growth is not about becoming original or proving our own theories, but about surrendering to God's sovereignty and allowing Him to work in our lives.

In order to accept your new reality, you must be willing to give up your own ego and desires, and to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty. This means acknowledging that God's ways are higher than our own, and that His principles are the key to overcoming our difficulties. By following God's principles and trusting in His goodness, we can learn to accept our new reality and find peace and comfort in the midst of uncertainty. As the Bible says, "And all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God" (Deuteronomy 28:2). By hearkening to God's voice, we can learn to accept our new reality and experience the blessings that come from trusting in Him.
