Biblical Answer

When we go through difficult times, it's natural to wonder if we can still trust God. The Bible reminds us that God is faithful and will never prove unfaithful to those who trust in Him (Isaiah 50:10-11). However, our trust in God can be shaken when we face challenges and uncertainties. We may feel like we're trying our hardest, but still struggling to see God's hand at work. This is where we need to reevaluate our trust in God and ask ourselves if we're truly relying on Him for guidance and strength.

The paradox of trusting God is that it requires us to surrender our control and trust in His sovereignty. When we trust in God, we're acknowledging that He is our true destination and that our search for self-satisfaction has been a failure. We need to take God at His word and rely on Him to do as He has promised. This means that we need to be willing to surrender our plans and trust in God's goodness, even when things don't make sense. As the Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

So, how can we rebuild our trust in God? We need to keep digging into the Bible, praying, and seeking God's guidance. We need to remember that God is great and all-sufficient, and that He has suffered on account of evil. We need to trust in His goodness and sovereignty, even when things don't make sense. As the psalmist says, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10). By trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty, we can rebuild our trust in Him and experience the peace and strength that comes from knowing that He is with us.
