Your Question:

How can we respond to chaos with courage and faith when our plans are constantly being disrupted?

Answer:

As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with chaos and disruption in their lives. It's easy to get caught up in trying to control every aspect of our lives, but the truth is, God is holy love and He is in control. When we establish ourselves on this eternal truth, we gain the mental composure to respond to chaos with courage and faith. This is not about being reckless or ignoring our circumstances, but about trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty.

Faith is the supreme effort of our lives, throwing ourselves with abandon and total confidence upon God. It's not about having all the answers or being in control, but about venturing our all with total abandon and confidence in Him. When we do this, we discover that God is not just a distant figure, but a loving Father who is actively working in our lives. He wants us to venture our all with Him, to trust in His goodness and sovereignty, and to find peace and rest in Him.

In times of chaos and disruption, it's easy to feel hopeless and uncertain. But God says that He will give us the grace to handle the disappointments that lie ahead, if we live for Him in the present. This is not about ignoring our circumstances or being reckless, but about trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty. It's about taking action in the present, entrusting our future to the Lord, and finding hope and peace in Him. As I always say to my congregation, "Today counts! So serve the Lord today, and ask God to help you overcome your obstacles today."
