will i ever find a job that doesn't kill me?
Job is a strong reminder that not all suffering is the result of sin, nor does sin necessarily lead immediately to suffering. However, that does not mean that sin never leads to suffering, and in the case of Job, his suffering was a direct result of sin, but not necessarily his own sin. This means that we should not assume that our suffering is a direct result of our own sin, and we should not be too quick to blame ourselves for our circumstances. Instead, we should seek to understand the situation and seek God's guidance and wisdom. As the Bible says, "And you will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13).
In seeking God's guidance and wisdom, we must also recognize that our careers and our work are not the ultimate source of fulfillment and happiness. While it is good to pursue our passions and careers with enthusiasm and dedication, we must not put our hope and trust in them for ultimate fulfillment. As the Bible says, "In Christ we have everything" (Romans 8:32). Our hope and trust should be in God, not in our careers or our work. This means that even if we face disappointment or failure in our careers, we can still find hope and fulfillment in our relationship with God. As the Bible says, "May our prayer be to seek God's guidance and wisdom, and to trust in Him for ultimate fulfillment, rather than in our careers or our work" (Psalm 119:33-35).
In this sense, the question of whether we will find a job that doesn't kill us is not the ultimate question. The ultimate question is whether we have a relationship with God that brings us hope, fulfillment, and peace, regardless of our circumstances. As the Bible says, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love" (1 Corinthians 13:13). Our hope and trust should be in God's love and provision, not in our careers or our work. By seeking God's guidance and wisdom, and by trusting in Him for ultimate fulfillment, we can find hope and peace, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. As the Bible says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). This means that we can face our challenges and difficulties with confidence and hope, knowing that God is with us and will guide us through them.
