Your Question:

what's the point of fighting when everything's against me?

Answer:

The battle for your life is fought and won in your mind. You can think your way into changing your life for good. This struggle produces the mental balance called thought. It is the same morally. Anything that does not strengthen you morally is the enemy of virtue within you. The battle may take one minute or one year, but you will lose every time if you dont fight it in Gods presence, never in full view of the world.

The reason you feel like youre surrounded and theres no way out is that the Enemy is at your table. He is your enemy, not your child. He wants to steal from you everything you value, kill everything in your life thats good, and destroy you. If he can claim the victory over your mind, he can eventually claim the victory over your life. You have to fight this battle, and the way you go about stopping the Enemy from sitting at your table is by winning the battle for your mind.

To fight this battle, you have to get alone with God and fight the battle before Him. This is where the nikos comes in - Jesus gives you His accomplished work on the cross, the defeat of sin. He has established a beachhead of victory so you can move forward. From this foundation of victory, you now fight. This is your mindset to outfight the Enemy. You have to persevere in prolonged wars, and God fights for you. You have to endure hardship with perseverance, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. The Lord Almighty is for you, so dont give the Enemy a seat at your table.
