When your faith fails you, it's a good time to do an assessment or take an inventory. Ask yourself the following questions: What are my problems? What obstacles are holding me back? What role can faith play in my life when I hit a wall or get discouraged because the odds seem overwhelming? How can I grow my faith? Be honest with yourself because it's the only way you'll develop obstacle-overcoming faith.

You cannot grow your faith unless you purpose to grow it. If you want something you've never had, then you must do something you've never done. You must take a leap of faith into God's provision. Your faith will grow today if you do what God has told you. Often people ask me, "How can I have faith like you?" or they resent me for doing exactly what I do. The truth is, I've made mistakes and failed, but I've learned lessons of faith from those failures.

The more you know and obey the Word of God, the more faith you will develop. I don't think I ever intentionally tried to grow my faith. I just pored over the pages of the Bible, trying to remember every promise and teaching. When you learn the steps in this lesson, you'll have a greater faith than ever. And if you do what God has told you, your faith will grow today. Remember, your faith is based on the Word of God. You must do what God wants you to do, whether or not you are successful.
