The Struggle is Real, but Hope is Not Lost

When everything feels hopeless, it can be overwhelming and discouraging. It's easy to get caught up in the voices of fear, rage, lust, insecurity, anxiety, despair, temptation, or defeat. However, as Christians, we are called to fight against these negative voices and stand on the hope of Jesus Christ. It's essential to recognize that our present hopelessness is sin, either because we have put our trust in something other than Christ or because we have given in to the Enemy's lies. To combat this, we need to get alone with God, do battle before Him, and settle the matter once and for all.

Fighting the Good Fight

Fighting against hopelessness requires perseverance and determination. It's not about being successful, but about being faithful. As Christians, we are called to serve the Lord, and He is our reward. Faith always takes the long look beyond the grave, and we must keep our eyes on Jesus. When we feel like giving up, we must remember that God gives us other people to fight alongside us. We don't have to fight alone. We must also be careful not to let self-pity, grumbling, and complaining take over. Instead, we must look to God and build our hope on Him. With practice, we can learn to win the battle for our minds and move to a place of victory in our lives.

To fight against hopelessness, we must take action in the present. This means being proactive and taking steps to overcome our struggles. We can do this by engaging the battle, separating from the object of our affections, and staying violent against our sinful desires. We must also be intentional about memorizing Scripture and taking our souls to task. We must ask for help when we need it and force-feed ourselves with God's Word. By doing so, we can overcome our struggles and find hope in the midst of our valleys. We must remember that it's not about being perfect, but about being faithful. With God's help, we can overcome even the most daunting obstacles and find victory in our lives.
