How can I trust anyone after being let down by my doctor?
I completely understand your frustration and hurt after being let down by your doctor. It's natural to question whether you can trust anyone after such an experience. However, I want to encourage you to consider the importance of trusting in the right person, Jesus Christ. As the Bible says, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners" (Mark 2:17). This verse reminds us that we are all sinners in need of a Savior, and that Jesus came to call us to Himself, not the healthy or self-sufficient.
When we put our trust in Jesus, we are not trusting in a human being who can fail us, but in the perfect and all-powerful God who loves us and wants to save us. As the Psalmist writes, "God will not betray the trust of the righteous; he will not allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). This means that when we put our trust in God, we can be confident that He will not let us down, even when human beings do. This is not to say that we will never experience disappointment or failure, but it is to say that we can trust in God's goodness and faithfulness, even when we don't understand what's happening.
So, I want to encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, not in human beings, even doctors. While it's okay to seek medical help and advice from doctors, our ultimate trust should be in God. When we put our trust in Jesus, we can experience peace, hope, and healing, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. As the Bible says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). I pray that you will come to trust in Jesus and experience the love and redemption that He offers.
