Can I still be a good Christian if I don't attend church regularly?

As a Christian, attending church regularly is a vital aspect of our spiritual growth and development. It is where we gather to worship, learn, and fellowship with other believers. While it is possible to be a Christian without attending church, it is not necessarily a good Christian. The Bible teaches us that we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). This means that we should regularly gather with other believers to encourage one another, to learn from each other, and to worship together. Attending church provides us with opportunities to grow in our faith, to be challenged by the Word of God, and to be held accountable by other believers.

However, it's also possible for someone to attend church regularly and yet not be a good Christian. As the Bible warns, "not all who say Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 7:21). This means that mere attendance at church is not enough. We must also be committed to living a life that reflects our faith. We must be people of prayer, people of the Word, and people who are actively engaged in serving others. If we are not doing these things, then attending church regularly may not necessarily make us a good Christian.

In fact, the Bible teaches us that there is a difference between being a nominal Christian and a true follower of Jesus Christ. A nominal Christian is someone who goes through the motions of being a Christian, but who does not truly live out their faith. On the other hand, a true follower of Jesus Christ is someone who has a personal relationship with God, who is committed to living a life that honors God, and who is actively engaged in serving others. While attending church regularly can be an important part of our spiritual growth and development, it is not the only thing that determines whether or not we are good Christians. Ultimately, it is our commitment to living a life that reflects our faith that determines whether or not we are good Christians.
