Your Question:

Why did God let me lose my business?

Answer:

As I reflect on the question of why God let me lose my business, I'm reminded of the story of Job. He said, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." (Job 1:21) Job didn't sin or charge God with wrong, even in the midst of great loss. This teaches me that God's ways are not always my ways, and that He may allow troubles to come into my life for a greater purpose.

As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with the idea that God is somehow responsible for their problems. But the truth is, God doesn't cause trouble, He allows it to come into our lives so that we can learn to trust Him and rely on Him. It's not about God's love for us, but about our love for Him. If we're not careful, we can start to think that God owes us a life free of problems, but that's not the life He's called us to live.

In my own life, I've experienced times of loss and struggle, but I've learned to trust God's goodness and sovereignty. I've come to realize that my purpose in life is not to achieve success or avoid failure, but to trust God and follow Him, no matter what. As the Bible says, "I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around." (Psalm 3:6) I can trust God to work all things together for my good, even when I lose my business.
