Instead, we should encourage our children to make things right with the people they've wronged.

When our children make mistakes, it's crucial to teach them to confess and repent, and be forgiven, healed, and made new. We should also teach them to take responsibility for their actions and apologize sincerely. For example, instead of saying "Im sorry if I hurt you," we should teach them to say "Im sorry for calling you stupid." This way, they understand the gravity of their actions and can learn to make things right with others. By doing so, we can help our children develop the critical life skill of making things right with the people they've wronged.
