In a world where words have the power to uplift or tear down, it is crucial that we prioritize unity over division. The Bible emphasizes the importance of maintaining the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3). This unity resides in the Spirit shared by the community, and the pursuit of unity works to maintain the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). However, unity is not a static concept; it is a dynamic unity of a process (of progressive revelation). This means that unity is not a fixed state but rather a journey of growth and development.

The Power of Words

Words have the power to uplift or tear down, and in a chaotic world, it is essential to use our words to build up rather than tear down. As the Bible says, "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29). When we speak with kindness, compassion, and understanding, we create an environment of unity and peace.
