Can I still trust God when everything feels like a nightmare?

The Bible teaches that trust in God is not just a feeling, but a choice we make despite our circumstances. When everything feels like a nightmare, it's easy to question God's goodness and sovereignty. However, we must remember that God is not the author of evil, but rather He allows evil to exist in the world so that we can choose to trust Him in the midst of it. As the Bible says, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). This doesn't mean that everything will be easy or that we won't face challenges, but it means that God is working everything out for our good, even when it feels like a nightmare.

When we trust God, we are not trusting in our own abilities or strength, but in His power and goodness. We are trusting that He is holy love and that He has our best interests at heart. As the Bible says, "I will trust in Him though my heart may tremble" (Psalm 16:8). Trusting God means that we are willing to surrender our lives to Him, even when things don't make sense. It means that we are willing to trust Him, even when we can't see what He's doing. As the Bible says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). When everything feels like a nightmare, we must choose to trust God, not just in our heads, but in our hearts. We must choose to trust Him, even when it's hard, even when it doesn't feel like it.

The Bible promises that those who put their trust in God will not be disappointed or put to shame. When everything feels like a nightmare, we must remember that God is our rock, our refuge, and our strength. We must remember that He is the One Who suffered for us, so that we could live. As the Bible says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
