What if I have to give up my home?

As followers of Jesus, we need to understand that our home is not just a physical house, but a spiritual one as well. The Bible says, "You cannot take your house with you, but you will surely take your soul with you" (Proverbs 23:4). This means that our true home is in heaven with God, and our physical house is just a temporary dwelling. Jesus said, "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2). He is preparing a place for us in heaven, and that is our true home.

When we have to give up our physical home, it can be a difficult and emotional experience. But as Christians, we need to remember that our true home is in heaven, and that we are just passing through this life. We need to be willing to let go of our attachments to material things and focus on our spiritual well-being. The Bible says, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven" (Matthew 6:19-20). This means that we should not put our trust in our physical possessions, but in God and His promises.

In the midst of uncertainty and change, we need to hold on to our faith and trust in God's sovereignty. We need to remember that He is our Rock and our Refuge, and that He will always provide for us. As the psalmist said, "The Lord declares to you that the Lord himself will build you a house" (1 Chronicles 17:10). God will build our spiritual house and give us a home in heaven, where we will be with Him forever. Let us hold on to this hope and trust in God's goodness and provision.
