Your Question:

am i alone in this?

Answer:

As I sit here with my family, I have to say that I'm not alone in this struggle. My wife Susan and I have been married for 19 years, and we've seen our kids, Joshua and Rebecca, grow up surrounded by the constant stream of content from their devices. It's a challenge we face every day, trying to balance the benefits of technology with the dangers of isolation and distraction.

As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with this issue. We think we're alone in our struggles, but God reveals to us our own shortcomings and weaknesses. It's only when we quiet our intellectual questions and get alone with Him that we can truly learn and grow. I've experienced this myself, and I've seen it in the lives of those I've counseled.

In fact, I've come to realize that my own darkness has brought back memories of my own struggles. But it's in sharing that darkness with others, and with our Master, that we can truly meet and find comfort. We're not on an untrodden path; we're on the main road, and it's in the shared darkness that we can find true connection and growth.
