Your Question:
How do I leave a good life for my children when I'm not here?
Answer:
As a father, I've often thought about how to leave a good life for my children when I'm not here. One thing that's been on my mind is the importance of prayer. Even though my children are grown and independent, my prayers for them still have an impact on their lives. I can declare God's promises over them, like "You brought us here and You will not leave my children forsaken." I can also pray for godly role models to come into their lives, and for them to make wise decisions. As my children have grown older, I've learned to give them more freedom to make their own choices. I try to be supportive and encouraging, rather than critical or judgmental. I remind them that we've made our own share of mistakes, but God was with us and saw us through. I pray for them to have a heart to follow God, and for them to be continually drawn to Him. I ask God to silence the enemy's attempts to pull them into worldly thoughts and actions, and to help them hear His voice. As a pastor, I've seen the importance of teaching children about the church as the family of God. I want my children to understand that they are part of a larger community, and that they should find a good church when they move away. I pray for them to be part of a community that will support and encourage them, and to be a source of blessing to others. By praying for my children and teaching them about their place in the church, I hope to leave a good life for them when I'm not here.
