Your Question:

am i just supposed to accept that god has abandoned me?

Answer:

If you feel that God has abandoned you, then you believe that he actually has. Nothing will persuade you otherwise. In other words, feelings can lie. Do you see the progression? When you didn't have enough, were you hesitant to question God about your lack? You probably didn't hesitate at all. You let him know immediately that you were in need. And if you're like me, you let him know in no uncertain terms. However, when God's silence is met with a lack of response, we become overly concerned about the way we walk and talk and look, out of fear of offending God. But perfect love casts out fear once we are surrendered to God (1 John 4:18).

Maybe I need to give the Bible another chance, or All my friends are saying one thing, and I'm not sure what to believe anymore. Keep digging. Keep praying. Keep trusting that God's Word is clear, true, and good. Odds and ends of thoughts are swirling around in your mind, but don't let them confuse you. God will give you the very blessings you ask if you refuse to go any further without them, but His silence is the sign that He is bringing you into an even more wonderful understanding of Himself. Are you mourning before God because you have lost the most important thing in life? Could it be reinterpreted as God is not enough? I cant go on becomes I dont believe that God hears or is interested in me.

God has stood with His hands outstretched not only to take you but also for you to take Him. Just think of the invincible, unconquerable, and untiring patience of Jesus, who lovingly says, "Come to Me." The time will come when he must leave and will no longer be your guide and your leader, because God does not intend for him to stay. Even the thought of that causes you to say, "I cannot continue without him." But the reality is that God is always with you. He cannot be shaken or removed. He is the God of the universe, and His love for you is unwavering. You are not alone, and you are not abandoned. God is with you, and He will guide you through the darkest of times. He is the God of hope, and He will give you the strength to face whatever comes your way. You are not abandoned, but you are invited to surrender to God's love and guidance. Will you take Him up on His offer? Will you trust Him, even when you can't see what He is doing? Will you surrender to His love and guidance, and trust that He is working all things together for your good? The choice is yours, but know that God is always with you, and He will never abandon you.
