The Distant God

As we navigate the complexities of life, it's not uncommon to feel like God is distant when we need Him most. This sentiment is not unique to our experiences, as many have shared similar feelings of confusion and disconnection. The reason for this phenomenon lies not in God's existence or ability to help, but in our own hearts and minds. We may be seeking after worldly happiness or trying to find answers in things that cannot provide them, leading us to feel like God is far away.

Seeking God in the Right Way

However, the Bible encourages us to seek God in a different way. Instead of focusing on our own desires or trying to force God's presence, we should seek Him with a humble and sincere heart. God is a person who desires a relationship with us, and He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. When we seek God, we must be willing to change our state and perspective, acknowledging that He is not just a distant figure, but a loving Father who is always present. As Jesus said, "And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

God's Love and Presence

The reality is that God's love and presence are not dependent on our feelings or experiences. He is always near, even when we don't feel it. His love for us is not based on our worthiness, but on His own character as a loving and merciful God. When we seek Him, we must remember that God's presence is not just about receiving what we want, but about experiencing His love and guidance in our lives. As the Bible says, "And I will rejoice over you doing good, and I will plant you in this land with all my heart and my soul" (Jeremiah 32:41). God delights in us and rejoices over us, and He wants to be our guide and leader throughout our lives. When we seek Him in the right way, we can experience His presence and love in a deeper and more meaningful way.
