Can I still have a sense of purpose after losing my mobility?

As a Christian, I believe that our sense of purpose is deeply connected to our relationship with God. Even in the midst of physical limitations, we can still experience a sense of purpose that transcends our physical abilities. This is because our purpose is not solely defined by what we can do, but by who we are in Christ. As the Bible reminds us, "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light" (1 Peter 2:9). Our purpose is to glorify God and live out our faith in a way that brings Him honor and joy.

In fact, many people who have experienced significant physical limitations have discovered a new sense of purpose and fulfillment in their lives. For example, Joni Eareckson Tada, a quadriplegic, has dedicated her life to serving others and spreading the gospel despite her physical limitations. Her story is a powerful testament to the fact that our purpose is not defined by our physical abilities, but by our faith and our commitment to serving others. As we focus on Jesus and seek to live out our faith in a way that brings Him glory, we can experience a sense of purpose that is not dependent on our physical abilities.
